Norwich Road Runners was formed in 1985, and has grown steadily to over 160 members today. The club has always concentrated on road running, with occasional forays into cross-country and other formats. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club welcoming runners both male and female, of all ages and of all abilities from complete beginners to the fastest in the county. We meet at the Blyth-Jex Sports Centre in the north of Norwich, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from about 7:00 pm ready to run at 7:15. On Tuesdays there is normally a coaching session on the sports field, and on Thursdays a road run of up to 8 miles, although shorter distances are always available. For safety, women and juniors are always accompanied.

New members who join Norwich Road Runners will receive an immediate email acknowledgement from the club advising the best way to join in with the club activities (subject to Norwich Road Runners having created the welcome message).

Existing members of Norwich Road Runners will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesdays at 19:00
Club Night: Interval training at the Blyth Jex Sports Centre, Norwich. For all ages and abilities.

Thursdays at 19:00
Club Night: Road runs up to 10 miles around the streets of Norwich.

Mondays at 19:00
Beginners Session: Free training for complete beginners to running in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with our trained coaches.

The fixtures below are intended as an indication of events which are regularly promoted by Norwich Road Runners. However all good things come to an end, so please make contact with the club to establish that this event is taking place this year, and confirm the exact date.
