We are a friendly bunch of folk, a good mix of male and female runners with a wide range of abilities - from slow jogging starters to fit class-winning enthusiasts. If you are new to us we’ll make sure you’re welcomed. We mainly run the roads and trails around Stafford, but also have track speed sessions at Rowley Park.


We also have a Junior section for keen youngsters aged from 8yrs to 15yrs. Newcomers are encouraged to try evening taster sessions. Mondays [at Rowley Park] and Fridays [at Stafford Castle] at 6pm are for first timers, joggers and juniors [8-16 years old].

Tuesdays at 6.15pm and Thursdays at 6.15pm and 7pm [from St Leonards Sports and Social Club] attract more experienced runners of all speeds. Sunday mornings see social runs across Cannock Chase starting at 9am

New members who join Stafford Harriers will receive an immediate email acknowledgement from the club advising the best way to join in with the club activities (subject to Stafford Harriers having created the welcome message).

Existing members of Stafford Harriers will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesdays 6.00pm
In the winter we run on well lit roads. All females are accompanied for safety. Summer runs are road/trail.

Thursdays 6.00pm
As Tuesdays. In the summer we run on Cannock Chase every other week. Runs are from 5 to 8 miles typically.

Sunday 9.00am
Two groups - a medium and a slow group. Runs on Cannock Chase for anything up to 2hrs 30mins (normally 1hr 45mins).
