Abbey AC is a young club formed in Jan 2000 and based at the Valley Leisure Centre Newtownabbey. Our membership of approx 50 is mostly 11-25 years old with some 'Vets' and includes all standards from novice to International. We train from the Valley LC, and Mary Peters Track catering for Road, X Country and T&F. Social evenings include club dinner & disco; 10 pin bowling etc for all. We always welcome new members and encourage them to enjoy the sport while trying to improve.

Club Training Sessions Tues/Thur 7.45 Tues-road-long run for older members;intervals for juniors Thurs-road-easy club run for all [different groups] Mon/Wed 5.45 Track Different groups;speed endurance/speed:depending on time of year.Generally for advanced/older athletes. Sat. Race Race most saturdays:XCountry;Indoors in winter;Track&Field and road during summer.
