New members who join Valley Striders A.C. will receive an immediate email acknowledgement from the club advising the best way to join in with the club activities (subject to Valley Striders A.C. having created the welcome message).

Existing members of Valley Striders A.C. will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesdays at 6.45pm
Old Leo's Club, King Lane, Leeds LS17 5PR. 4-weekly cycle : 10 minute reps, track (at Carnegie 7:10pm), 6 minute reps, hills. All sessions suitable for all abilities (website explains why).

Thursdays at 6:45pm
Scott Hall Sports Centre, Harrogate Road, Leeds 7 Steady 7 or 8 miles at approx 9 minute miling

Sunday at 9:00am
2 hours steady (?!) generally mainly off road

  • Peco Cross Country

  • Yorkshire Veterans

  • Relays: Bradford M. Way, Calderdale, Harrogate Ringway, Leeds Ctry Way

  • XC competition: Yorkshire, Northerns, occasionally Nationals

    The fixtures below are intended as an indication of events which are regularly promoted by Valley Striders A.C.. However all good things come to an end, so please make contact with the club to establish that this event is taking place this year, and confirm the exact date.
