The Springfield Striders Running Club was formed in 1985 and currently has 250 members of all abilities.

We are very sociable road, trail and x-country club who , compete in most of the the local, County, Southern and National road,x-county and fell running championships.

We welcome runners of all abilities from the age of 16 years

We run from Chelmsford Rugby Club Coronation Park , Timson Lane, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 6AF. changing rooms , showers and a licenced bar with food is available to members on a club night.

New members who join Springfield Striders Running Club will receive an immediate email acknowledgement from the club advising the best way to join in with the club activities (subject to Springfield Striders Running Club having created the welcome message).

Existing members of Springfield Striders Running Club will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesday at 7.30pm
A interval session aimed at improving runners speed, suitable for all abilities.

Thursday 8.00pm
Our main club night and steady pace run over about 5 miles with the faster members of the club covering a longer distance.

The session is designed to suit for all abilities.

Sunday 9.00
Most Sundays from the Car Park, Coronation Park. A steady run geared to training for the London Marathon.
