The club was founded as Garden City Joggers in 1982, and changed to its present name in 2002. It is now the only running club based in Welwyn Garden City.

The club caters for runners of ALL ABILITIES, and is particularly involved in Road Running and Cross Country. See our website for more details!

New members who join Garden City Runners will receive an immediate email acknowledgement from the club advising the best way to join in with the club activities (subject to Garden City Runners having created the welcome message).

Existing members of Garden City Runners will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).
