Formed in 1976 with a big increase in profile after the move to Bangor Sportsplex in 2001. Now the most successful Track and Field Club in Northern Ireland and unbeaten in team competition since 2001. Strong in Multi Events providing most and often all of the NI team in international decathlon caters for cross country, road running and hill and fell and Eva Massey (senior) and Tom Reynolds and Peter Glass(U20 & U23. Also caters for cross country, road running and hill and fell running.

Existing members of North Down AC will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesdays at 6.45pm
Track and Field training at Bangor Sportsplex. 11 yrs and up including Seniors.

Thursdays at 6.45pm
Track training at Bangor Sportsplex. Indoors in Winter at St Columbanus School at 7.30pm

Mondays at 7.30pm
Road Running from Bangor Sportsplex. 18yrs and upwards including Masters.

  • AAI All Ireland National League (winner in 2006-7)
