Newport Harriers caters for all ages and abilities. Newport list amongst it's member British Marathion Record Holder Steve Jones and former international 800/1500 metre runner and European Junior Champion Neil Horsfield. 400 metre international Jamie Baulch and sprint specialists Christian Malcolm and Doug Turner started their careers with the club. Newport Harriers welcomes anyone who wishes to try out athletics and operates in a safe friendly environment. The club currently has a number of up and coming junior international athletes in its ranks.

Existing members of Newport Harriers will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesday @ 6:00 pm
Newport Stadium - Off Spitty Road - all track and field events and road and cross country - Under 11 sessions and sessions for disabled athletes start at 6:00 pm (these groups have priority use of the track until 7:00 pm). Sessions for all other age groups from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We cater for all abilities from beginner to international.

Thursday @ 6:00 pm
