Founded in 1989, Lytchett Manor Striders is a small running club catering for all abilities. We are based in the village of Lytchett Minster, a few miles west of the English south coast town of Poole in the county of Dorset, UK.

We organise several CLUB RUNS, the main ones being on Tuesdays: Sandacres Pub (Sandbanks) 7pm for 7.10pm start and Thursdays: Lytchett Minster School Sports Hall 7pm for 7.15pm start. We have a variety of routes available - some short, some long, some flat, some hilly - to cater for the varying needs of our members.

We strive to be a very social club - we organise club family walks and cycle rides, pub games evenings, harbour cruises and an annual Dinner and Dance.

If you live in this part of England or will be visiting the area, we will be very pleased to let you join us on one (or more!) of our training runs.

Existing members of Lytchett Manor Striders will become registered with the British Athletics Home Pages and will be contactable by County team managers. Volunteer officials and marshals will be contactable by local competition organisers (if you declare such an interest).

Club Training Sessions

Tuesdays 7.00pm
Sandacres Pub, Sandbanks. Short runs (30-45 minutes). All abilities welcome. Pay for parking on road near pub or free within 200/300 metres. Drink & chat after run in pub.

Thursdsays 7.00pm
Lytchett Minster School, Sports Hall. Longer runs (60-90 minutes). All abilities welcome (3 groups). Parking free but sometimes difficult if school event taking place. Drink & chat in Clay Pipe pub, Holton Heath afterwards.
